Not every book can be the next Twilight

The Indie Queens Are Waiting

If there is one thing I have learned in my 200 years on this Earth is never keep an indie queen waiting. You think my bloodlust and eternal life thing can be frightening but have you ever left an indie queen waiting at a cafe for you? Believe me, you’d be begging me to tear you limb from limb. Indie Queens play it so cool you don’t even know if they are mad or happy to see you or just want to be left to their Sylvia Plath and oversized glasses.

Edward has been wandering this world for two centuries and he was perfectly happy going from lady to lady never being tied down and always the one who was disinterested in the relationship. Then he met Ingrid. For the first time in his after-life Edward felt what it was like to be the one waiting by the phone, watching and waiting for a reaction.

Will Edward finally break through the indie queen’s all too perfectly disheveled exterior or will his days be numbered with Ingrid? What will Edward have to do to keep her interest? Buy vinyl? Grow his hair out so he’ll always be fussing with it in order to do easy things like see? Spend Sunday’s in local coffee houses ranting how big business is killing off mom and pop establishments all in the name of total control and corruption? Just tell me, are we cool now?

The Indie Queens Are Waiting is a romantic tale of one night walker and his love for an indie queen who would rather listen to Dan Mangan on oversized headphones than go for ice cream. Can people from two different worlds find common ground?
